The Suffolk Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, in partnership with Elsener Organ Works, Inc., is pleased to announce its Eighth Annual Scholarship Program for organ students from Long Island.
Three different categories of scholarships are available:
a Chapter award for college students from Suffolk County,
a Chapter award for high school students from Suffolk County, and
the Elsener Award for beginning organ students of any age living in Nassau or Suffolk County.

The Sixth Annual Elsener Award Application
In 2006, the Elsener Award was established by Elsener Organ Works, Inc. to foster interest in organ study and performance. It is available to beginning organ students of any age from Nassau or Suffolk Counties who have not been studying organ for more than two years. No previous organ study is required. The prize money is intended to be used for organ lessons or other organ-related expenses such as organ music, organ shoes, etc.

Auditions:
The 2012 scholarship auditions will take place on Friday evening, April 20, 2012, at St. James Roman Catholic Church, located at 429 Route 25A, East Setauket, NY 11733.
